What are Kids For Christ?
After-school Bible classes children may attend once a week after school hours. They are an excellent opportunity for children in the public schools to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and learn the truth from God's Word.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2001 in Good News Club v. Milford Central School that Good News Clubs can meet in public schools after school hours on the same terms as other community groups. We Are His Body respects the parents' right to decide if their child should attend We Are His Body events held on school property. Therefore, signed parental permission is required for attendance.
We work in cooperation with public schools to supplement the children's education with biblical principles. Sound Bible teaching not only helps children grow spiritually, it also has a positive impact on their personal and home life, school performance, and decision-making skills.
What is taught in after-school Kids for Christ Clubs?
Each week the teachers present an exciting Bible lesson. This action-packed time with the children also includes songs, Scripture memory, a Bible story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson's theme.
The purpose of after-school Kids for Christ Clubs are to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. To accomplish this goal, each club includes a clear presentation of the Gospel and an opportunity for children to trust Jesus Christ as Savior. Each club also includes strong discipleship teaching to build character and strengthen moral spiritual growth. All clubbers are encouraged to attend a local church.
How would these clubs work in my school?
After-school Kids for Christ Clubs would be an asset to your school and not add any cost or liability to the school district. Children who wish to participate would stay after school one hour per week. Parents would need to arrange for transportation home. Adults working with the program are screened and trained as teachers or helpers.
Why do children need to learn biblical principles?
- Every 20 seconds a child is arrested
- Every 22 seconds a baby is born to an unmarried mother
- Every minute a baby is born to a teen mother
- Every 4 minutes a child is arrested for drug abuse
- Every 8 minutes a child is arrested for violent crimes
- Every 3 hours a child or teen is killed by a firearm.
- Every 4 hours a child or teen commits suicide

George Barna, in his book, "Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions," concludes that, "if you want to shape a person's life - it is during the ages of 5 - 12 that lifelong habits, values, beliefs and attitudes are formed."
The percentage of people who accept Jesus broken down by age is:
19 and above 6%
13 - 18 4%
5 - 12 32%
Will you help?
Our vision is to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every public elementary school in the state.
We are seeking Churches to adopt a local elementary school as their Jerusalem. They will pray for the children, find teachers to teachers the Kids for Christ Club and help promote the club to the elementary children in the school. We are His Body comes alongside to provide all the training and materials to make the club a success.
To achieve this goal we need volunteers. If you would like to know more about how you can get involved in this exciting new ministry, please complete the form below and send it us at the address listed on this brochure.
